Pakistan: State and Society

On 4^th August, 2026, Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar, Vice Chancellor, University of Poonch, Rawalakot, delivered a lecture on "Pakistan: State and Society" to the participants of the 40^th Senior Management Course at NIPA Lahore. He explained the concept of the state, civil society and the market, while highlighting the impact of globalization, digitalization and changing governance dynamics on state sovereignty.

 

The Guest Speaker emphasized the need for adaptive governance, institutional reforms and effective public discourse to address emerging national and global challenges. An interactive question-and-answer session followed, where participants discussed globalization, state authority, artificial intelligence and governance. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by the Sponsor DS and a standing ovation for the Guest Speaker.
