Message of the Director General                   

It is indeed a privilege and pleasure for me to welcome you to the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore; the leading Institution mandated to train Mid-career and Senior public servants for higher assignments. NIPA, Lahore has an enviable history of imparting exceptional and challenging training to the civil servants, aspiring to lead from the front. The hallmark of NIPA Lahore is a totally dedicated faculty, both permanent and visiting, comprising serving / retired practitioners and academics, who are experts in their respective disciplines.

The faculty and administration are committed to preserve our environment of intellectual freedom offering in-depth interactions with the distinguished scholars and professionals available in the country and opportunities for cross-learning through interpersonal interactions, organized discussions and intra-group considerations. The training methodologies adopted include lectures, tutorial discussions, case studies, writing research papers, seminars, workshops, research assignments, field tours, simulation exercises and presentations.

The training is geared towards imparting knowledge, analytical skills and capacity to lead through intellectual and professional development. The participants are enabled to learn ‘HOW TO THINK’ and not ‘What to Think’ and engage in a constructive dialogue with courtesy and respect for others. NIPA graduates are systematically motivated to safeguard the public interest, create public value, win and retain public trust by meeting higher expectations of service delivery.
