A workshop on “Project Management Tools and MS Project” was conducted on Thursday, 28^th August, 2025 at National Institute of Public Administration, Lahore. Aim of the workshop was to equip participants of 44^th MCMC with basic understanding of various menus and views of the MS Project environment, creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), linking tasks to create a Schedule, printing project plans in different formats, generating reports and updating progress details, developing plans, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, managing the budget, prepare Work Plan/Cash plan/Team Plan/CPM/PERT/Gantt Chart and do practical/hands-on exercises on all mentioned concepts and techniques.

The respected guest speaker highlighted the importance of MS project and explained its importance in management of a project. He elaborated its comprehensive features that support effective project management across various domains. He discussed the aspects of Task Management and Resource Management through MS Project. He also explained Scheduling, Progress Tracking and Reporting through MS Project Ecosystem.

The workshop was interactive and discussion-based. The guest speaker gave the participants step by step instructions on how to prepare a Work Breakdown Structure, Track Progress of a project, Generate Reports and use MS Project for effective monitoring and Evaluation of a project, Participants were actively engaged by the speaker during this practical learning exercise.
