His Excellency Mr. Zhao Shiren, Consul General of China in Lahore, visited the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Lahore on 17th October, 2025.
Mr. Muhammad Farooq Mazhar, Director General of NIPA, briefed the Hon. Consul General on the mandate, training structure, and key initiatives of NIPA Lahore. They discussed opportunities for collaboration in capacity building, human resource development, and knowledge exchange.
The Hon. Consul General also delivered a keynote address to the participants of the 38th Senior Management Course (SMC). In his remarks, he underlined that Pakistan and China are iron brothers whose friendship is time-tested and all-weather. This friendship is grounded in mutual respect, trust, and shared progress. He also emphasised the importance of people-to-people contacts, cultural exchanges, and educational cooperation as pillars of this strategic partnership. He referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a symbol of strategic cooperation and regional connectivity that continues to transform Pakistan’s development landscape and strengthen regional integration.
In the end, the Hon. Consul General reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to deepen their strategic partnership for a shared future of peace and prosperity.
The visit was part of NIPA Lahore’s initiative to foster international collaboration in public sector training.
