On Wednesday, 17^th March 2026, a workshop on Handling Court Cases and Litigation was conducted by Mr. Ahmad Nazir Warraich for the participants of the 39^th Senior Management Course (SMC) at the National Institute of Public Administration, Lahore. The workshop focused on equipping civil servants with practical skills required for effective handling of litigation involving government departments.

Mr. Warraich explained the importance of preparing precise and well-structured response to court cases. He highlighted that clarity, factual accuracy, and alignment with legal provisions are essential in presenting the government’s stance before the courts. He also covered the process of coordination and interaction with law officers and relevant government offices to ensure timely and coherent responses.

Mr. Warraich provided detailed guidance on the preparation and presentation of cases, including the filing of appeals, review petitions, and other legal remedies on behalf of the government. He emphasized the need for civil servants to understand procedural requirements and maintain consistency in documentation and submissions. He discussed court etiquette and mannerism, stressing professionalism, preparedness, and respect for judicial processes as key elements in litigation management.

The workshop also included landmark judgements in public sector cases to provide contextual understanding of judicial reasoning and its implications for governance.
