On Wednesday, 10 January, 2024, National Institute of Management, Lahore arranged a Lecture aforementioned Discussion with the guest speaker, Dr. Agha Ali Raza, on the after mentioned topic for the capacity building of participants of 39^th MCMC.

The speaker talked at length on Artificial Intelligence / machine learning. AI capabilities/ limitations and applications of AI in Governance.

AI is the ability of machine to learn from experience. He explained how to teach machines to learn from data and own mistakes. Also, how machines can act as helpers to enhance human capacity of doing certain tasks. He elaborated machine learning model and difference between traditional computer science and Al Machine learning. In machine learning, computer is given data and output to create a program. He elaborated on how to talk to AI like Chat GPT to make it perform various tasks for human like writing essays, composing lyrics/poetry, using it as personal trainer, to write code / program, chart analysis, OCR capabilities, explaining images / equations and Art generation etc. Limitations of these machine learning models include AI hallucinations and confidently making up sources

In conclusion, the speaker said that it is essential to understand what AI can do and what it can’t However, it cannot replace a human. So, we need to have a balanced view of AI and how can we improve our early day life with AI.
