A workshop on “Communication and Presentation Skills” was conducted on 25^th September, 2023 at NIM, Lahore with an aim to enlighten the participants of 38^th MCMC. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Umar Zafar Sheikh. The guest speaker emphasized that effective communication, presentation and public speaking skills are valuable life skills.

It is often said about communication: nothing in life is more important than the ability to communicate effectively. Effective communication for a civil servant is not just the art of speaking well but it involves thinking critically, listening with curiosity, speaking with honesty and acting with integrity. The speaker explained that each individual has unique style at this art. The speaker said that effective communication can be achieved, when the three elements of communication triangle (the speaker, the audience and the topic) are effectively balanced and adequately addressed. Only then, the message is sent and received clearly, appropriately, precisely and effectively; completing the communication cycle. The speaker emphasized that communication skill with a forceful message is a very for powerful tool for change.
