A lecture discussion on “Decision Making and Problem Solving” was conducted on Thursday. 28th August, 2025 at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore with an aim to enlighten the participants of 44^th MCMC about the importance of effective decision making for leaders, decision making and problem-solving tools and techniques and hands-on exercises in the domain of decision making and problem solving.

The session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Mubbasher Munawar Khan. He discussed the steps of decision-making process, explained its models, problems faced during the process and decision-making errors and biases. He then gave a case study regarding RIN detergent by Liver brothers Pakistan to syndicate groups for preparing presentation on problem solving. At the end he had an interactive discussion about the case study, its alternative choices and how it had an impact on decision making and problem solving in the organization.
