On Tuesday, August 01, 2023, Dr. Durr-e-Nayab addressed the participants of 33 Senior Management Course on “Population Dynamics of Pakistan”. She highlighted the need to approach the subject correctly and gave the examples of India “the billion plus market” and “Made in China” label. She posed the question if Pakistan is over-populated and then argued that the imbalance between the population and resources is the real problem. She shared the data regarding population surge and age structure from 1990-2050 and drew attention to the socio-economic implications of the demographic changes in the country. She also discussed the population policies in development plans alongwith the way forward.
