On Wednesday, 18^th October 2023, Ambassador (R) Masood Khalid, former of Pakistan to Republic of China, addressed on “Overview of Pakistan relationship with China”, to the participants of the 34^th SMC.

During the lecture discussion, Ambassador (R) Khalid in the first instance contextualized Chinese civilization in term of contributions over centuries and its transformation to match the challenges of the modern world. He then highlighted Chinese approach of economic and technological prosperity as against confrontation approach. He also explained US-China relationship in the background of rising global Chinese influence. He mentioned strategic depth have Pakistan and China have today as the result of time-tested friendship and Chinese role in diplomatic arena, military support, economic support including CPEC and Gwadar Port and controlling terrorism.
