On 1^st November, 2023, Amb. (R) Najm us Saqib, former Federal Special Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed on “Pakistan’s Foreign Policy towards Middle East”, to the participants of the 34^th SMC.

During the lecture discussion, Ambassador (Retired) Najm us Saqib provided an in-depth analysis of the changing socio-political landscape in the Middle East and implications for Pakistan. He shed light on the emerging scenarios, underscoring recent developments in the Middle East after 7^th October, 2023. He also linked the situation with the National Security Policy 2022. In the latter part of his presentation, he elucidated foreign policy options for Pakistan and emphasized the importance of addressing bilateral issues with each state in the region, rather than relying solely on religious commonality.
