A workshop on Quantitative tools for Decision Making was conducted on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore, with the aim of enlightening the participants of 43^rd MCMC about using quantitative tools for decision making. The workshop was conducted by Dr Sayyid Salman Rizavi. The workshop was divided into two parts. In the first part, the Guest Speaker explained various quantitative tools, whereas in the second part he gave the participants a practice exercise to solve.

The Guest Speaker started by defining and explaining various concepts about quantitative tools such as data, variables, and types of variables. Following this, the Guest Speaker started explaining main themes such as the three measures of central tendency: mean, median, and mode. Then he explained measures of dispersion, which included standard deviation and variance. Following the discussion in the first part of the workshop, the Guest Speaker distributed a hands-on practice test to the participants. The test comprised of several tasks, which were designed to test participants on their ability to apply the skills that were taught during the first session. The Guest Speaker also helped the participants in attempting these tasks, whenever a participant required his guidance.
