On April 15, 2025, Mr. Shoaib Mir former member FPSC, gave an insightful lecture to the participants of 37th SMC on “Socio-Cultural Diversities within Sindh province and their Impact on Public Service Management”. He elaborated upon issues emerging out of socio-cultural diversities and how they impact governance and ethnic harmony.

Mr. Shoaib Mir discussed the history of Sindh and its strategic importance starting from the time of the Indus Valley Civilization till present day. He laid emphasis on Sindh having a linguistically and ethnically diverse population and touched upon the urban-rural divide existing in the province. He explained that overcrowded urban centers and demographic pressure from non-citizens such as Biharis and Afghans hamper service delivery but Sindh’s culture of philanthropy and adaptability helps it thrive even in adverse conditions.

Mr. Shoaib Mir concluded the session by emphasizing that Sindh province has a lot of potential to contribute positively for the greater good of the nation and this potential must not be lost due to any urban-rural, linguistic or ethnic divide.
