On Monday, 17^th October 2023, Mr. Tariq Khosa, former Secretary Federal Secretary, delivered a lecture on “Terrorism, Violent Extremism, and state Response”, to the participants of the 34^th SMC.

During the talk, Mr. Tariq Khosa, discussed various historical narratives and the factors contributing to terrorism, violent extremism, and sectarianism in Pakistan. He extensively addressed diverse state responses and their effects on the country’s security over both short and long-time frames. The distinguished guest speaker drew from his personal experiences to provide a detailed perspective on the gravity of the challenges he faced while confronting the threat of militancy.
