On Friday, April 26, 2024, Dr. Khalid Waleed, Research Fellow and Head Energy and Sustainable Future Resources at SDPI addressed the participants of 35^th SMC on “The Dynamics of Energy Sector in Pakistan”. The lecture explored Pakistan’s energy sector, highlighting its overview and prevalent issues. Challenges in generation and distribution were emphasized, alongside the pivotal role of regulators like NEPRA and OGRA, as well as provincial governments. Energy efficiency, conservation efforts, and exploration of alternative sources emerged as crucial strategies for addressing the sector’s complexities and ensuring sustainable energy provision.
