On 03^rd April, 2024, a lecture discussion was arranged where Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Chief Executive of World Trade Advisors, addressing to the participants of 35^th SMC a lecture on discussed ‘Trade Diplomacy-Challenges and prospects of effective Trade Diplomacy’.

During the discussion, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad extensively covered various facets, including the determinants of trade diplomacy and Pakistan’s historical policy trajectory, emphasising recent shifts and the imperative to acknowledge them in international decision-making. He advocated for close coordination between ministries to achieve desired outcomes. He highlighted the need for Pakistan to transit towards FTA arrangements and discussed the impacts of the Russian-Ukraine war and expansion of BRICS on trade dynamics for Pakistan.
