On 16^th October 2023, during a lecture discussion addressing to participants of 34^th SMC at National Institute of Management, Lahore, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Chief Executive of World Trade Advisors discussed Trade Diplomacy from Pakistan’s perspective.

Dr. Manzoor Ahmad talked about trade policy. First, he explained the difference between trade policy and economic policy to make it clear. He said that trade policy involves making economic connections with other countries, and he recommended that different government departments should work closely together to get the results they want. He spoke about the US-China rivalry and its implications for Pakistan. He stressed that Pakistan should focus on making free trade agreements instead of giving away trade concessions, especially considering the changes happening in trade groups nowadays. He also mentioned the war between Russia and Ukraine has also impacted upon the global trade.
