On Tuesday, 23 December 2025, a group of eighteen interns from the National Institute of Public Policy undertook an educational visit to the National Institute of Public Administration, Lahore. The visit was a part of their exposure to Pakistan’s public sector training and capacity development framework.

In an interactive briefing session, the group was informed about the institutional profile of NΙΡΑ. covering its historical evolution, mandate, and core functions within the broader ecosystem of public service training. The group was also introduced to the courses conducted at NIPA and was briefed on the modes of instruction adopted to meet the evolving needs of public sector professionals.

During the engaging Q&A session, the interns sought information on training design, faculty engagement, inter-institutional coordination, and the incorporation of practitioner inputs in the curriculum development process. The interns also enquired about mechanisms for periodic review and updating of training material in response to emerging governance challenges. They expressed particular interest in post-training progression, performance evaluation of participants, and the linkage between training outcomes and professional advancement.

The visit also included a guided tour of NIPA’s facilities, enabling the interns to observe training infrastructure and support services.

The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks acknowledging the facilitation by NIPA faculty and administration and reaffirming the value of such academic exchanges in strengthening public sector learning and collaboration.
